Hello, today is my first post about health and beauty. Let me introduce this blog a bit before moving further. I will be reviewing many high-end branded and drugstore cosmetics for you people. Since getting original high-end products had been an issue for some time in Pakistan, so I will also give you links to the sources I used to get that product. I am sure most of you are familiar with many Facebook pages and different web sites that you can use to get those products authentic and as per your choice. And yea….. If you want to know about some product that I have not reviewed, please write the name in the comment and I will do it for you! Don’t forget to subscribe and follow…..
Lip balms:
Okay, I will be starting this blog by reviewing some very good lip balms and lip scrubs and will give my opinion about them. I will start by some lip balms that I got locally:
The Maybelline baby lips:
The product is good as compared to some other flavored lip balms. Keeps your lips moisturized for about half the day, which is a good amount of time. I got one in berry and one in orange flavor. If you don’t have too many dried lips, then this might work for you. You can get it at a number of rates, I got berry flavored for 200/- PKR and the orange one for 400/- PKR. But I like the orange one better because of the fragrance.
Vaseline, lip therapy:
It’s Vaseline, so it works very effectively against dryness and lasts longer than Maybelline baby lips. The best thing about it is the packing; it is so adorable and cute looking tiny container. If you like non-fragrance lip balms then get the original one but they also have cocoa available as well. I prefer fragrances in my lip products, especially fruity and buttery ones. So I didn’t enjoy the original one much. The price is very affordable ranges from 180-350/- PKR.
EOS lip balm:
A bit expensive than the above two and is more moisturizing as well. Available in lots of flavors: strawberry, blueberry, pineapple and citrus. It is for around 750/- PKR and you can order it online from websites like www.just4girls.pk
Random fruit lip balms:
Okay, I am not writing a brand because there is none; these try cheap yet effective lip balms that your local drug store will have in abundance. I recently picked a small jar from some Chinese brand and I liked it a lot. The flavor is lemon and it is long wearing as well and very affordable. The name of the brand is USHAS cosmetics from china. It was for 110/- PKR.
Palmer’s cocoa butter formula lip butter:
This is by far the best lip balm I have ever used, including some very expensive ones that I will list below. I have used the one in the form of a twistable stick as well as a tube filled with this amazing lip butter with vitamin E. I have very dry lips and this got me through the winters like a charm! I have it in dark chocolate and cherry flavor and it smells and feels amazing. The price was 600/- PKR from a local drugstore. But you can order from online as well.
Carmex lip balm:
Another amazing lip balm which works very well for chapped lips. Long wearing and keeps your lips smooth and well moisturized. But I feel that I had to retouch it again and again throughout the day.
You can order it online for about 1500-2000/- PKR the prices varied on different websites so I can’t quote one.
Sephora lip balm and scrub:
This is the first lip scrub on the list. Actually, it’s a two in one as it exfoliates and moisturizes your lips. It’s like giving a proper therapy to your lips. Definitely, a much-recommended product for your lips if you want to pamper them. It is available in 6 flavors, tried Goji, which was good fragrance but since I am more of a citrus loving girl so I would try Tangerine the next time I buy it. It is of the same range as Carmex but the prices might differ a bit depending on where you are buying from. You can read about it here.
Dior Addict Lip Sugar Scrub:
Okay, firstly it is a very expensive lip balm and scrubs. Although it is a three in one product being a scrub, balm and a tinted lip product. Gives you lip a rosy touch, feel DIVINE and exfoliates and hydrates your lips far better than any other product I have ever used. But I will not buy it again because it is superbly expensive for a balm. I mean you can get a good makeup kit from Sephora at the price you will get this one. When converted, it will cost you around 5000/-. This is too much even if it is Dior. Read more about it...
Recommendations:
I will list the links to Facebook pages that I usually use to order from Sephora or the other USA or UK based websites. All you have to do is to copy the link of the product you want and send it to them to get a quote. I usually send it to a couple of different suppliers so I can compare and order from the person whose price suits me the most.
